SLX 48 Element High Gain Digital TV Aerial

By 2012 (end of the digital TV switchover), some outdoor aerials will require upgrading in order to be capable of receiving digital TV signals. When choosing an outdoor aerial it is important to evaluate the digital TV strength in your area, by checking Teletext page 284 you will be able to see if your aerial needs upgrading, if 4 or more white boxes are missing in the grid your aerial will need to be replaced. You must do this check on all four channels (BBC1 / BBC2 / ITV / CH4).

short lasting aerial
"I had this aerial in use for just over 3 years when the
aluminium square box section snapped at the clamp,
causing the aerial to fall down and break. On close
examination I discovered that the aluminium is paper
thin and had suffered from apparent metal fatigue
judging by the clean looking break. It had been expertly fitted with all nuts and bolts still tight. If you want a hobby and like to throw your money away this is the aerial you want!!!

Good aerial but it catches the wind
"I replaced my very old aerial with this model and whilst the reception is good it does seem to catch the wind and the original 10ft pole now sways a lot more than it used with the old aerial. I think for peace of mind I will need to shorten the pole which I hope will not reduce reception too much. In hindsight I would have probably been better with a more compact aerial."

Good Reception
"I puchased this arial after looking at B&Q,s web page
as my existing arial was several years old and decided tit was not going to hang around any longer.
Gladly I chose this arial, being broadband it was not neccesary for me to shuffle around for the bandwidths for my area, Easy to assemble all the pole fittings were in the box, easily adjusted for signal reception, perfect all digital signals recieved . definatly recommended.

Works perfectly
"I needed an aerial for the new digital tv in the bedroom, and really did not want to put one on the roof. Bought this and put it in the Loft space and just plugged it into the back of the tv and away it went. Gives excellent reception.
So overall, very pleased, and saved having to pay an aerial installation company

Worth it
"This aerial was easy to assemble and although very light, feels sturdy. Picture quality after replacing the old aerial was great. in fact, I have now removed the boosters that I had fitted for the upstairs bedrooms. On the digital TVs, the signal strength indicator is showing 100%"
