The Kansas can cook for up to 10-12 people and the electronic ignition allows for a quick start. A temperature gauge, vapouriser bars, side burner and warming rack should provide an ideal cooking experience.

"I have had this BBQ for about a month now.
I agree with others about the difficulties in assembly. I enjoy (sadly!) putting things together but I don't enjoy instructions that require squinting at, puzzling over, rereading over and over, etc - unfortunately these instructions are like this so I found this rather a chore.
I did have some issues with assembling the side parts as the screws were tiny and the legs, for some stupid reason are hollow with an opening at the top - not all my screws are in the correct place and are rattling around inside the legs - I do hope that they aren't desperately needed - it would have been impossible to turn the BBQ upside down to retrieve them.
It took about 2 hours to assemble but I had allowed for this from other reviews. For these reasons the BBQ loses a star.
Poor instructions aside I am very pleased with the BBQ. Lighting the left hand burner (of the 4) will then light the rest if turned on in succession so ignition is very easy. I like the main griddles - this is partly what sold the BBQ to me. There are two - one is a rack and one is a solid plate (the latter having one area the one way up, three small areas the other way up). Cooking vegetables on the solid plate is great (remember to oil it a little first) - I have managed to cook onions, mushrooms and peppers all at the same time but kept separately by the small partitions on the one side. Once cooked the burners on that side can be turned off and the vegetables can be kept warm. There is also a higher full-width rack which cooks tomatoes beautifully and will also slow cook or keep warm other food. All racks/griddles clean easily. The main ones are very solid and need to be left a long time to cool before removing. I clean all three with a brillo pad after soaking and they are by far the easiest racks I have ever come across to keep clean.
It is also possible for 2 people to cook in comfort side-by-side at this BBQ which means that things are less likely to burn! There is plenty of surface area at the sides for drinks, plates, utensils, etc.. And on the left-hand-side there is a "hob" for saucepans/frying pans.
Another positive point is the fact that the handle remains cool to the touch as does the front panel.
This BBQ is also on wheels. The gas canister is stored on a platform within the doored area which means that the whole thing can easily be moved. The BBQ with gas is very solid but the wheels are strong and large and so it all moves very easily. I keep my BBQ cover inside the storage area when the BBQ is in use. (This is the BBQ cover that is supposed to be more heavy duty - unfortunately it drives me mad as the fit seems poor and the drawstring can get in the way of the wheels - wouldn't recommend it!)
I do hope this lasts as I am very impressed so far. I enjoy cooking on it - it's certainly the best we've ever had. The only other niggle is that I was told they would never drop the price below £199! Get it while you can, but allow plenty of time for setting up! And don't forget your silver foil and bag of sand for lining the large and easily removable drip tray at the back!"

Great outdoor cooking experience...
"...or something like that. Really impressed with this BBQ. Having been a charcoal purist for years, my wife bought this for "me" as an anniversary present last year (2011). She assembled it and it has sat outside under a cover since. It still looks good, is easy to keep clean, great to cook on, heats up quickly with all 4 burners on and well worth the money. Only down side I can see - the fabric cover fades quickly and has 2 small holes - so 4 stars."

Excellent BBQ, Best purchase ever
"£179 on special deal weekend, well what a bargain, I was impressed with the packaging, all items well wrapped and in solid boxes, The screw set was well laid out and all good quality, Instructions for me were very clear, good english used, not the normal cheap photo-copy in some items from china. Took approx 2 hours to assemble, I really enjoyed doing this, all metal work well weldedand well cut, nice powder paint finish, all went together with no issues at all, and now it is assembled and it looks amazing, where else can you get a lovely bbq of this size for this price? So all fired up, food cooked, and Im a very very happy customer. Iread some other reviews about assembly issues and quality of this product, well I totally dis-agree and Im fussy about things, this is great so dont let the bad reviews put you off, If you have trouble aseembing it Ill do it for you! go on buy yourself one, before they are gone"

"we purchased ours on the 30th june and having read all the reviews about assembly time I was well prepared for the 2-3 hours of work, however, ours must have been partially assembled for me as I was able to complete the build with ease in a little over 1hr which even included a coffee break, quality seems good, time will tell. well worth the £179 paid."

"Havent had chance to try this out yet only just put it together, it took me 3 hours but wasn't rushing and kept stopping in between ...they aren't the clearest of instructions tho some tips left by other reviewers were helpful and I did follow them, get the legs sorted first and you will find it goes ok ...I did manage to do this all on my own ..50 yr old handy nanna ...bit tricky putting the top on but not impossible tip lay it down on the side if your on your own , just hope it does work as good as it looks very sturdy when together ..if the pieces had been numbered and better instructions it would of been a five ...what these companies need to remember if they want people to write great reviews the general public don't have degrees in engineering and need to make instructions and assembly as easy as poss ..but does look impressive so if your out to impress by having big party this is the beast for you ..even better if you get it a sale price"

"This BBQ is the worst thing I have ever put together,I had to return first BBQ due to incorrect welding then spending literally hours trying to put screws and bolts into ill fitting holes some of which we just could not get in. Cheap with sharp edges wish I had spent more on a different BBQ as cannot see this lasting very long at all. Would not recommend to anyone."

Great BBQ for Large Gatherings
"Bought with son for a family BBQ for 15 people. Son put it together in 2hrs - helpful to have the tips made by other reviewers handy. Did this a couple of days before the event ! On event day, loaded sand in drip-tray and connected gas. Cooked over lunch time for 2hrs - ample area to cook and store just-off heat. Everyone totally satisfied with BBQ-cooked food and BBQ-ers totally satisfied with cooking facilities - the BBQ made our day/lunch and good to have family in agreement for once !!"

Keep the Elastoplasts Handy!
"This product was an absolute nightmare to assemble, taking longer than suggested and also resulting in a number of lacerations to hands due to the sharp edges and footery locations where screws had to be located.
Would strongly advise wearing a pair of gloves or getting someone with very small hands to assemble the product.
Also the wings at either side of the main grill do not seem too solid and quite flimsy and i can envisage problems wiht these.
On a positive note the BBQ works well once assembled."

"Bought this bbq 2.5 years ago. Having lived many years in Canada, I had to have a grill. Year 1 decent product, year 2 started to notice rust even though it was NEVER left uncovered outdoors, AND was stored in garage through winter. Year 3 and this item is ready for the skip. While cleaning the grill bars the INTERNAL supports gave way. Upon closer inspection I was astonished to see how must rust was present. The last bbq I had in Canada lasted over twenty years and was never covered or stored inside! All I can say is avoid this item like the plague, or you will be buying another one far far too soon."

"This BBQ was bought to replace another B&Q one bought 8 years ago which was finally retired after hundreds of succesful 'al fresco' meals. This new one went together well (and does need 2 people mostly due to the weight of it) and seems very solid and weather resistant. Cooks wonderfully with great heat control and is easy to clean if you follow the suggestions in the manual. If this one lasts as well as the old one I'll be more than pleased."

"You really do need two people at various times in the construction of the barbecue. It is not easy and it will take at least a couple of hours but it is worth it. When complete it is really solid and easily takes heavy use. It is very efficient and easily manages to cook the food for large groups of people."

Great BBQ this weekend
"Bought this BBQ in time for the weekend which didnt look good but Sunday turned out nice so after my partner spent most of Saturday putting it together, we had a great BBQ
It is not easy to put together and you need to be reasonablly handy.
ALso when I went to get the BBQ it wouldnt fit in our car in the box so the kind B&Q man took it out of the box and loaded it in in bits - watch out its bigger than you might think
WOrth all the hassle though and a great buy."

"Superb. Cant fault it. Takes ages to put together - at least 3 hours and I would say I am skilled at DIY projects. You do need some help to hold things as well. But its well worth it. The prodiuct is the muts nuts. Well worth the money"

"Had a party of 40+ friends and family this past weekend and it worked excellently!!! Everyone was impressed and asked when next one would be, soon I hope!! Took a bit of time to put together as instructions not very good and pictures don't show which way round things go so had couple of false starts but well worth it!!!!!! Quite easy cleaned but wasn't completely level so didn't catch all fat but tray did its job, will know next time but must remember to put tin foil under the sand would have made a difference."
