Review 1 for Evolution Fury 3XL Multi Purpose Mitre Saw
"Lo...delivery was superb overnight ! Machine is very easy (I have it fastened to a 12ft timber bench) lots of adjustments and possible uses, very smooth cutter. My personal taste has me using the blade supplied on metal and general work and keep a finer blade for the accurate work, metal does take off the edge. It is very suitable for DIY and light professional alike......."

Good value saw
"I've now used this saw for a while and it cuts wood very cleanly and easily. I have yet to try it on metal.
The laser is very useful but I think I knocked it out of alignment - it took a while to discover it can be rotated to re-align it. I also had to adjust the 45 degree bevel stop in order to get spot on cuts.
The ability to make deep cuts across wide boards is very useful. I did use it to make repeated cuts for halved joints using the depth stop. This is fiddly to adjust but works well enough."

Review 3 for Evolution Fury 3XL Multi Purpose Mitre Saw
Not the cheapest but worth it
"I've been meaning to buy a sliding mitre saw for ages. A series of bank holiday DIY tasks persuaded me that I should bit the bullet and get one.
I did a fair bit of research and concluded that to get maximum benefit I wanted a sliding saw and one which could cut boards up to 300m wide.
That rules out a lot of the budget saws as they are either non-sliding or 220mm maximum width capacity. The evolution range stood out as offering good value and the Fury3XL gave me the 300mm width capacity I wanted.
So what is it like?
Build quality seems very good so far. Minimal assembly required out of the box, but it is worth spending 15 minutes getting the blade angle perfectly aligned. Mine was cutting on a slight bevel even when the blade was supposedly at 0 degrees, but a quick adjustment of the hex bolt stops got it perfect. The instructions don't explicitly state how to adjust, but you will see two hex bolts which determine the stop point for butting at zero degrees and 45 degrees. Winding these in or out adjusts the end point for the tilting mechanism and enables you to get perfect zero degree or 45 degree bevels.
The really neat thing about this saw is its ability to cut wood and metal. So far I have used it to cut wood, aluminimum and even 3mm steel. It cuts beautifully and with no fuss.
It's worth noting that when you are cutting metal you should go a lot slower and let the blade work through the material rather than pushing it through quickly as you tend to do with wood. That way you don't stress the blade and you get a nice smooth cut.
The laser guide is useful, but to be honest I still tend to do a "dummy blad drop" before I make the cut just to check that the blade is going to cut at the correct point.
I haven't had the saw long, so can't comment on longevity, but initial impressions are that it does exactly what you expect and the build quality seems robust. Add in the fact that one blade cuts wood and metal and I think you have a very useful addition to the workshop."

Review 4 for Evolution Fury 3XL Multi Purpose Mitre Saw
"I bought this item to cut the cornices in my kitchen, which is usually a job that people consider to be very difficult without an expensive professional saw. This, however did the job superbly. I bought a cheap saw when I was doing my skirting in my house, but now, greatly regret not spending the extra on this.
This compound saw has loads of professional features that will help you get those perfect mitre joints. I have only used this for 45 degree cuts but I'm sure the same result will be found with other angles and settings,
In summery; Well built, durable with professional features."
