Shockingly Bad
"Before I begin, I would like to point out that I scored this with one star, purely because I couldn't score it zero. I would also like to note that I'm a professional tradesman.
When the bath arrived and we began to assemble the base, the fittings were extremely cheaply made and not at all sturdy. For instance, the feet are made of plastic and one of the support rods for the feet was only half threaded. I was actually nervous about using the bath for the first time incase the legs didn't hold the weight of the water, let alone me too!
The panel is very ill fitting - it does't fully reach around the sides of the bath (short by around half an inch) leaving a shabby finish. The top middle section does not have batting to fix the supplied bath panel clips to, resulting in a huge gap between the bath and the panel. Another of the pre-installed batting sections came off completely when trying to clip the bath panel on.
The sides do not sit flush to the bath as per the brochure photograph.
Overall, this is a really cheaply made bath and for the money (sale or non sale price) is not relative to the product you get.
I'm in the process of contacting B&Q to try and get a refund and buy another bath."

Helena Doesn't Measure Up
"Seemed a good idea. Several instances of problems when my plumber (Good track record and very competent) was exasperated. The fibreglass panel didn't fit the bath. Unlike the display version in the store in Romford. My bath, as in the display was fitted against a totally tiled wall. This left the panel short by 5mm at least in my bathroom. So where did they get the panel which fitted?
We had the Wellness system installed. Because the waste outlet then becomes a lot lower, a normal low level trap still won't fit. Had to ring them but they can't speak to you so you leave a message and they get back to you when they feel like it. All this with my plumber standing there waiting for instructions. Eventually they sent me a special low level plastic trap. Why didn't they do this in the first place? Wrong legs supplied , no wooden batten under front lip to attach a clip. Not enough clips and the wrong legs supplied. Endless, but endless delays trying to speak to anyone at PJH group (suppliers). Additional amendments to the order were always placed at the back of the queue even though the first order hadnt been delivered yet. all in all a total service disaster. Having said that the quality of the cabinets and fitting instructions were good. Just he worst store for organisation I have ever encountered. Also when picking up something in person was treated like a shoplifter on exiting the store WITH a receipt. B&Q gives th e word'incompetence a whole new meaning. Ordered bathroom on Jan 1st. final part of order arrived today (16th April). I could go on and on.
already contacted customer services but they havn't dealt with any of this satisfactorily.

My bath cracked
"This product is flimsy- my lovely 8 year old daughter pushed my lovely 6 year old daughter into the bath, she banged her head on it and a large crack appeared- it now needs replacing!
Other than the flimsy design the bath looks good and functions well. I will be buying the reinforced version as a replacement which hopefully can withstand the flying head of a 6 year old. The good news is it will mean no pocket money for an even longer time for my eldest ;-)

Helena Suite
"We have recently had our bathroom ripped out and
replaced with an Helena suite, a P shaped shower and fully wall and floor tiled. All products were delivered and fitted by B&Q. Mark their fitter has done a fantastic job and the bathroom looks great. We have no problems whatsoever - (and I am the worlds biggest complainer when necessary). .We have a large bathroom and the B&Q designer was very helpful. The Helena bath surround fits perfectly so this must be down to the professional fitter. Great service before, during and after fitting from B&Q installations dept. We have no hesitation in recommending B&Q and Mark their fitter.

Agree with other reviewers
"I have to agree with the other reviewers concerning this bath. It appears quite flimsy and my bathroom fitter complained no end installing it. As Kitty says in her review the bath panel does not fit correctly and the fitting where useless. And does end up leaving you using silicon to try and get a nice look, not very easy to do. Apart from that the bath is very big and comfortable to use, however I still feel a little uneasy getting into it.
I should also mention that when the bath arrived it was missing the legs and their fittings. I called B+Q who didn't know if legs came with it, and asked me to call the supplier (I had thought I bought them from B+Q) could do a little better in that regard. I rang the delivery company, PJH, and they said confirmed that it did come with legs and that they would put in an emergency order from their suppliers. Credit where credit is due it arrived the next day by Royal Mail."

Very disappointing
"This bath could have been great, but we were disappointed because (unlike the model we saw in store and the one shown in catalogue pictures), the bath panel did not fit flush with the bath. The panel juts out in a 'ledge' a couple of cm wide below the top of the bath. It would have been useful to have been warned of this at purchase, as it really spoils the 'gentle, sloping profile' the catalogue describes. If you want a good finish in your bathroom, do not choose this bath. There were also problems with the flimsy clips supplied to fit the panel."
